July 301st, 2021 Mojave Trail side trip

This is a favorite past time for our family.... we get such a thrill, marking our territory.

HELLO CALIFORNIA

We decided to take a detour and go and checkout the Mojave trail that Chris, Bob,Tom and Steve did.

Best way to travel 💤😴

This is the Rock Spring House built in 1929,

We hiked the Rock Springs trail, 1 mile round trip, and so glad we did... We haven't hiked as a family very often, definitely something I would like to do a lot more of.

This is the Kelso Depot, an old abandon train station 🚉 on the Mojave reserve

Hopefully the last stop before Newport!! Barstow station for lunch, Summer thought it was cool to eat in a train car.

July 30th, 2021 Newport Beach Bound

We had high hopes of getting on the road by 8am, we had everything packed and loaded the night before..... Nope! It rain in the night and got Jaces guitar wet, and we had so much work stuff going on We did not get on the road until 1... I know!!!

Anyways, we stopped in Filmore to fill up both tank and bellies.

We made it to Las Vegas around 6pm, because we are such a long load we decided to stay off the strip at the Silverton.
