September 16th, 2012 Camping Hyrum Canyon

This is our new tent, it takes 1 min. to set up and 1 min to take down, no need for a rain tarp, it is rain proof and i love it.... Chris is still warming up to the idea.  We stayed the night up Left Fork Canyon (Hyrum Canyon) with the Strange Family.
This is a natural spring that we rode up to.

This was the river that we set up our tent next to and we put grasshopper on the end of the hook and fish bit...

We BBQ steaks, onions & mushrooms and baked potatoes.... best meal I ever had...

September 9th, 2012 Roasting HotDogs

We decided to go back up Tibble Fork Canyon for a little ride and roast hot dogs when it got dark, we found a new trail that we had not been on before, and it was a really great trail.  These pictures dont do it justice but it was a long ways down to the bottem, and beautiful.

We had collected wood along the way down, and made us some roasting sticks to roast our hot dogs ( Jace  twiddled the ends to make them sharp for the dogs with his pocket knife).

This should be a Doritos commercial

Then we headed home, threw the kids in the shower and to bed, School nighs!

September 9th, 2012 Uinta Lakes

We headed up to the Uinta's for a day of fishing with Papa, Grandma C and Ciera, and of course Papa was the only one catching.  By the end of the day Papa had caught 15, Grandma 5, Trevor 1 and the rest of us got skunked....
This is at the very top at Pass Lake

Jace spent most of his time untangling his line, he has gotten stubborn and doesn't want help, at one point he went of on his own to fish only he casted right in to a shallow mossy area and spent atleast an hr getting unstuck.

Papa was nice enough to let the boys reel in a few.
Trev wanted to hold this fish so bad but the blood creeper him out a little to much.

Untangling line again LOL...
Trevor caught another one by walking out into the water and grabing it, what ever works :)
After we gave up and got sick of watching Papa pretending to be frustrated because he couldn't take a break,  dang fish just wouldn't leave him alone, we went to Mirror Lake to mess around. We decided to hike around the whole lake, which is really cool, beautiful, breath taking.

Trev is always scoping out his next hideout, he has found some pretty cool spots.
We had dinner at sunset before we headed home.

July 22nd, 2022 Bells Falls with Trev

It's so beautiful in the morning, before everything's starts moving, the air is so much cooler and it tastes different. ...
