November 24th, 2008 Trevor's 7 mos. check-up

Today we had Trevor's 7 month check-up and he is doing just great, he weights 16 lbs. 5 ozs. (16% Centile) and 27 inches tall (52% Centile).
He can sit by his self unassisted
He just got his two bottom teeth ( aren't they cute!!!)
When I put him on his belly he will get up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth ( I think we are getting really close to crawling)
If you smile at him he smiles back, and most of the time squeals with excitement
He begs for what ever we are eating and loves everything I put in his mouth.
He sleeps about 8 hours straight through the night, although he falls asleep around 8pm so by 3am he is wide awake ( we are working on that)
I am sure that Trevor is going to be my little comic relief he is always smiling and is so light hearted.

November 18th, 2008 Husband Tag

1. Where did you meet? That is a funny story, me and my friend were cruisin’ state, when he saw me, Chris and his buddy started following us until we pulled over... I knew he was the one, that very night.

2. How long did you date before you got married? 7 years, can you believe that? But when we did, it was so worth it, we got married in Maui on the beach. We spent 14 days there, snorkeling, riding 4 wheelers through the jungle, going to luau's, dinner curses, 33 mile bike rides, power raft trips ... it was a trip of a lifetime. Although we did have food poisoning the 1st 3 days.

3. How long have you been married? 5 great wonderful years, I am always wondering why we are so blessed, and hoping that things never change.

4. What does he do that surprises you? I don't know, by now I think I can almost predict his every move.

6. What is your favorite feature of his?
His Dark thick Hair

7. What is your favorite quality of his? He is strong when strength is needed and tender when I need to be nurtured

8. Does he have a nickname for you? I call him Jeffery; the other day I called him Chris, it just felt all wrong

9. What is his favorite color? Do men have favorite colors?

10. What is his favorite food? My homemade tacos, and Chinese take-out

11. What is his favorite sport? Does Nascar qualify as a sport

12. When and where was your first kiss? We dated for a good 3 weeks before he kissed me; I remember it so vividly, we were on the eastside overlooking the valley in his blue Chevy truck, we sat there for a long time talking, he would slowly inch closer and I would think he was going to kiss me and then he would chicken out, the anticipation was killing me. Finally around 3 am he kissed me.

13. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? We love to take our 5th wheel and go camping, we had it out on 9 different trips this summer, one of them being a 14 day tour of Colorado.

14. Do you have any children? Duh… Jace is 3 right now and Trevor is 6 mos.

15. Does he have a hidden talent? Well it’s not hidden and I’m not sure if it’s a talent, but…. we always joke about him never screwing up, it really sucks…When he does goof my mom puts it on the calendar and we celebrate.

16. How old is he? 31 I think, I am really awful at ages

17. Who said "I love you" first? Me on accident, he was leaving one night and I said I Love You like you do to your parents when you’re leaving, out of habit. It wasn’t time in the relationship to say it and I was so embarrassed.

18. What is his favorite type of music? He likes Classic Rock and Country, but driving all day he listens to Howard Stern not music.
UPDATE: Chris claims that he absolutely DOES NOT listen to Classic Rock, he listens to Rock and Roll, its not his fault that Van Halen, and AC/DC are now on the classic rock station.

19. What do you admire most about him? He is such a wonderful husband, we have an incredible relationship, Advanced Delivery Service our family business that he has built, and the amazing family man that he is.

20. Do you think he will read this? Yes; He loves our family blog and checks it out often.

November 13th, 2008 Jace goes for Surgery

I have never been so proud, watching Jace walk into the hospital. He couldn't wait to show Mama everything he had learned at his surgery class. What floor we needed to go to, what buttons to push to get onto the train elevator, how they were going to put a thing on his arm and pump it up and the wagon that they would take him to surgery in.

We got him some new P.J.'s for his surgery.

The nurses are all so good with kids, we are so lucky to have Primary Children's right here. People fly in from all over the country to bring their kids to this Hospital.

The P.J's that he changed into were a little big he had to hold them up to walk. (We got him some smaller ones)

While we waited for them to come and take him back Jace cooked us pancakes and diet cokes.

They gave him medicine that made him woozy before they wheeled him away from me.

This was the most awful part for me; Jace looked back at me the whole way down this long hallway.

This is right after they pulled the trachea-tube out of him, he cried but he was still not awake yet.

Jace cried, screamed, and throw a fit for almost an hour, as the anesthesia wore off; he was some boy I didn't recognize. They tried to hold him down to give him Codeine but he spit it out and it ran into his eyes.

Once the meds wore off he was back to my sweet little boy, they took the IV out and we headed home. The whole process took 5 hrs.

I can't believe how big his incision is, it is 5 inches long.

When we got home Chris had bought The Polar Express, so we cuddled up in front of the fire and watched the movie. By 6o'clock Jace had fallen asleep.

This is the next day and Jace is totally back to normal, you would never know that he has a huge incision on his butt. He doesn't want to relax he wants to go down the slide at McDonalds with Lexus.

November 11th, 2008 Community Base and Haircut

My Mom takes kids from Jordan Valley on an activity on Wednsday's and a lot of the time me and the boy's meet her. This time it was at Leatherbey's, I didn't have time to comb Jace's hair so I just put a hat on him, lets just say by the end of lunch I had decided Jace needed a haircut, I had been trying to grow it out.

Tomorrow Jace has surgury so Mama decided to get him what ever he wanted, ice cream, fries, and cookies. As you can see his hair is out of control and it is so hard to keep looking good

November 5th, 2008 The 1st Snow of the Winter

It snowed all day long and by the end of the day we had 4 or 5 inches. Jace had grown out of his snow boots and coat from last winter, but we did let him run around for a minute.

See how big the snowflakes were.

Paizlee finally met Trevor, we figured out she had been having neck pain, took her to the vet, got her on med's and now if Trevor is on the floor, Paizlee is right there with him, she loves babies, isn,t that funny
