July 18th, 2022 Cottonwood Creek trail to tanner flats 1st SOLO HIKE

This hike was hard for me, not because of the terrain, but because I was alone, by myself, SOLO!!! I know that sounds so dramatic, people may say, isn't that what you have already been doing? No, I have had my big huge bodyguard with me, Summer... I know right.... she has been my shield 🛡 of bravery, she has no idea how grateful I have been for her company.  She helped me fight through my terrible fear of snakes 🐍  a fear that has stopped me from doing the things that I love over and over again, a fear that has left me frozen, I am phobic. For some reason seeing her out there being so brave has been so inspiring.

Look at this trail, snakes could be anywhere, one view is up the trail and one is down. I am telling you I was scared 😱

I at this point had had enough, I had not completed the trail, to snake looking 🤦‍♀️
However, when I headed back I found a high route and continued forward, and at this point I wasn't going to not complete the trail
Always so happy to see LaReda waiting for me at the end of the trail 👣 ☺️

It's so beautiful in the morning, before everything's starts moving, the air is so much cooler and it tastes different. ...
