July 14th,2022 Bell Canyon Lower Falls

We got up at 6am and was on the trail by 7
This is a really challenging trail, honestly, I couldn't believe that we did it!!!
GRASSHOPPER
SUMMER.... we made it to the lower lake and went to sit down on a the bench when she just starts cracking up, she couldnt even hold herself together as she pulled out a bag of nits, dropped them on the bench and said, "what do you think about Dez NUTS"
It was about this moment on the trail where we had a week moment :/ we heard a large animal very close to us, take a step towards us, we clicked our poles together and yelled, it stepped closer, me and Summer look at each other, it steps lower, we decide we have went far enough and we turned around as it followed us.  Let me tell you!!! Inside, I was freaking out.  LUCKILY not 5 minutes later 2 guys came up on the trail, we told them what had happened and asked them if they would just take the lead.  We never saw the animal but I am sure it was a mountain lion stocking his pray, Chris thinks it was a deer 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
Never a dull moment on the trail with Summer in tow, She is always finding cool things on the trail to look and laugh at.

We were so sweaty at this point that we rinsed our faces off in the river, it felt so refrearefreshing.

The last mile was super challenging, very steep
I love this picture of Sums sweet little face, she wanted to see the little beads of sweat on the face.
WE MADE IT!!!
THE VIEW INCREDIBLE 😍
THIS WAS SUCH AN ACCOMPLISHMENT, THIS TOOK GRIT, AND WE DID IT!!!.
It took us 2 hrs and 15mins to climb up and about 1.5 hrs down.
