March 24th, 2014 2 weeks old

Summer is 2 weeks old now and is almost back to her birth weight, she is 7lb 7 oz, we had a 2 week check up today, she was tongue tied and Dr Lindgrin clipped it right there in his office.... I have had trouble with milk supply on one side and I am hoping that will improve now that that is taken care of.  Summer is the sweetest most precious little girl I have ever met, she has such dainty features and her personality so far is so easy going.  She is like clock work at night, I nurse her before I go to sleep, then she wakes up at 2:30 and then not again until morning.  Summer very rarely get put down, I love to just hold and look at her, and I am taking this time to do that... I have learned that she will be grown before I now it, and with this being our last little one I don't want to miss anything.  With the boys I was in such a hurry to get back to life, not this time.  Spending time with our little family at home is what we will be doing for a while.

Jace gave Summer her very 1st bottle

March 14th Summers 1st bath

I loved this, it was a family affair, Jace got her towel in the dryer so it would be warm, I got the water read, Chris got Summer undressed and Trevor got the soap and wash clothes ready.
and We all took a body part to wash.

March 10th, 2014 Hospital Days

Me and Summer stayed in the Hospital for 5 days, Summer was have a little weight gaining issue... which is normal, but because she had lost 10 % of her body weight, they wanted to keep her until she started heading up.

We brought the boys in one at a time so that they would have there on special meeting with her, Jace even changed her very first diaper.

 LOL... it takes a village.
 Proud DADDY!!!
Trevor was so excited to meet his baby sister, and he needed to be dressed up in a bow tie to do it.

 Great Grandpa, so proud.

On the 3rd day, the hospital served a special dinner for 2, it was such a great way to top of the arrival of Summer.
 Nap time with Grandma

And we are headed home... Summer was not happy about being strapped into the carseat, this is the first time we heard her really cry, but it didn't last long, and she was back to herself.

March 10th, 2014 The Birth of Summer Reese Wilkinson

Me and Chris headed for the hospital at 10 am, I had time to put curlers in my hair, and put on makeup.... not what you would normally expect on the day you are giving birth.  Dr's  and nurses, they were successful.  At 12:30 we walked down to the cold surgery room, its about then I could feel my nerves creeping up, but I kept my cool, so I thought.... while they gave me the spinal block, Chris kept saying, you are alright, you have done this before, and he kept rubbing my hand.  I was thinking, why is he saying this I'm cool... but the heart monitor does not lie, my blood pressure had gone through the roof.  I was so cold and nauseous and I guess I had let the nerves get the best of me, for a minute.  Not long after that little Miss Summer Reese Wilkinson was born, weighing 8lb 7oz and 20 inch long, I kept asking why is she not crying? Is she OK? and they said she is doing great, just the most mellow baby they ever delivered.... she was happily sucking her toe.

I felt the best I have ever felt, after a surgery, I wasn't sick or groggy, just ready to meet my sweet baby, and it took over an hour for them to get her to me.

It's so beautiful in the morning, before everything's starts moving, the air is so much cooler and it tastes different. ...
