August 4th, 2021 Fishing the Pier

LaReda is getting a little too comfortable here, feeling the sea breeze in her grill, feeling the sand between her tread, riding the waves, livin' the beach life....
We like it a little as well :) The plan for the day was to drop the boys off at Newport Beach for Trev to swim and Jace to try his hand at 🎣 fishing. But when we got there Baja Sharkee's had no wait, we have always wanted to eat there!  It did NOT disappoint the shrimp tacos where out of this world, best I've ever had.
The Boys caught up with us and we decided to stay and play.

The Boys at at the Pipeline.
We all walked to the end of Newport Pier and watched Jace get set up..... he definitely had a different rig going then everyone else.  It wasn't long before an older fisherman took him under his wing, taught him what he needed hand how to do it.
We left Jace to fish and we headed down to the beach.  We grabbed our chairs, rented 2 buggie boards and bought some sand toys and headed for the waves
The color are so pretty I couldn't resist
I have no photos because Chris talked me into getting in with him, the cold always stops me from doing things these days, I am so glad I did, I had such a good time, the waves were perfect,  I stayed in even after he got out.
After a day at the beach ⛱
Jacee ended up getting squid and wanted to try out his new found skills, so we left, went get showered and warmed up, 30 mins later we got a call... he had caught 5 fish!!!
By the time we all got back together we were so exhausted exhausted we decided to do McDonald's for dinner 👎
Jace was our entertainment for the evening:

It's so beautiful in the morning, before everything's starts moving, the air is so much cooler and it tastes different. ...
