1/3/2020 Hoover Dam Day

Our plan on Thursaday was to drive to St. George with a quick stop at the Hoover Dam, however when we got there, it looked so incredible that we decided it needed a whole day.  So we decided we to extend our by 2 days, checked into our favorite Oasis RV resort, got settled in, the kids went swimm4ing in the 🥶 cold 🥶 heated pool, played phase 10 and watched Forest Gump.  ( Summers new favorite movie)

We took the tour and learned all we could about the Hoover Dam
Including going 650 feet underground to the power house.
On a side note, Chris once did a delivery here, driving our Advanced Delivery truck through this room!!!
I liked this little bit of info
Lunch here was so good, and we had great weather
If you look at the Memorial Bridge behind us..... that is the next stop 🤗 we hiked up to it and went out to the middle.
The Memorial Bridge took a decade to build, what is incredible is that in the 60's the Hoover Dam was built in 4 short years and ahead of schedule, without all the AMAZING equipment we have today.
The Memorial Bridge is suspended by a 1,060 foot, twin-rib concrete arch, the largest of its kind in North America, and is 1,900 feet long. The bridge is 890 feet above the Colorado River.
INCREDIBLE!!!!
