PAIZLEE August 28th, 2002-November 24th, 2014
Born August 28th, 2002
Died November 24th, 2014
Our family was blessed to enjoy twelve years with a wonderfully loving, emotionally unstable, special spirited Beagle, Paizlee. After a long battle of Cancer, we decided it was time to put her to rest, having her put down was unbelievably difficult, we told the kids and spent the weekend soaking in our last few days with her, snuggling by the fire. Her head was nestled in my arms as her heart beat its last beat.
Paizlee was given to me by Chris as an early Christmas present, she was the size of a coke can. She immediately captured my heart... she was my 1st child. Two weeks after I got her, she became deadly sick, there were quite a few nights that we didn't think she would make it through the night. But with around the clock care and 4 times a day antibiotic shots, she pulled through. She was meticulously trained by Me, she could sit, lay down, stand, roll over, play dead, give five, stay, and flick a treat of her nose and catch it, all before she was 6 mos. old, however see saw no need in fetching or playing tug of war, she was really more kid then dog. Me and her joined ever dog club we could find, she loved agility and was very good at it, she had three 1st place finishes. Paizlee traveled all over the western United States with me delivering freight, she was the greatest copilot you could ever ask for.
Paizlee was always very emotional, she loved her cheek right on my lips, she loved me to breath warm air on her. She would whale with joy anytime family would give her attention, and they knew exactly what she wanted... her cheeks to there lips :)
She slept every night wrapped in my arms.
When Paizlee was 2 years old she gave birth to 8 beautiful Beagle puppy's. She would come upstairs to get me 5 or 6 times a night to help her get them back where she wanted them, or if one cried, she was an emotional, nervous wreck.
Paizlee has always been very adventurous, escape artist, she has been on many, many, many walks by herself.
Some of Paizlees favorite things are eating :) going to the dog park, which we would always talk in code (DP) because she knew English very well, going bye bye, sun bathing, hide and go seek, keep away ( keeping bones away from other dogs), and most of all snuggling with who ever would love on her.
She was our constant companion and a member of our family. She was a very special spirit, who I loved with all my heart and will miss terribly, but our memories of her will last forever.

July 12, 2014- Busting out of here
Dad is doing so good, it sounds like he is going to be heading home today. They are going to remove his lumbar drain, and take it from there.... even talk of going straight home.

July 8th, 2014 looking up
Dad got moved to the NCCU (nuerological critical care unit) on Sunday to get a lumbar drain put in. The purpose of this is to take the pressure off his brain, so the hole can heal. The Dr's concerns are that with a hole in the membrane, bacteria and anything else can go up his nose and straight to his brain. Meningitis is a major concern, however it is now Tuesday and no signs of infection. Yesterday they took him back at 3 pm to get his wrist repaired and he got back around 7pm, they put a plate and lots of screws to hold it all in place. I brought the boys today so that they could watch Summer, and i could be with Dad. I went home for the night, and when I got here this morning he was in good shape. In the night was a different story, they couldn't catch up with the pain, and it was at an 8 which I'm sure is a 9.... I hate that dang it!!! I brough Jace to watch Summer again, that works grest. Today's plan is cute off the drain for a while to build up pressure, and then have him lean forward for 1 hr to see if it holds. If so he will be busting out of the ICU.

July 6th, 2014 REVIN' UP
Well it is 5 am, and us early birds are up, and ready for the Dr's to round.... Dad got up to be weighed and he leaked out his nose so now they are saying flay on back, and no getting up to eat or anything. He has been holding summer for about an hr
And she is good with that. This has got to be the most noisy bed, intermittently it will Rev up, and every time Dad says, "here I go, I'm taken off" Lol. He is cracking jokes, I love that.

July 5th, 2014- Right where I need to be
Dad and I slept a solid 6 hrs last night ( much needed) and Summer slept 12 hrs. Since 6 am we have been up and running though. Dad is still having a hard time peeing, and while he was in there, his nose was really dripping blood, and this time we asked the ENT Dr if this was still normal. Come to find out, it is not normal.... so we spent the next 3 hrs collecting a sample, it was difficult because he was so sleepy he spilled it 2 different times, and it would run through his mustache. We found out that is probably spinal fluid draining from his brain ( scary stuff). At 1st they were going to take I'm back to the ICU but they are going to try 24 hrs. of bed rest to see if it heals itself.
July 4th, 2014. HAPPY 4Th
Well this isn't the way I had planned to spend my 4th of July. But it turned out great, i got to spend the evening with T and Dad and Chris got to put on a show with our totally awesome circle. I heard from Chris that mostly everyone from Easthills came to the circle to share there fireworks. Dad is really doing good, he has even cracked a few jokes. The big issue to Dad is the bathroom situation... if anyone knows my Dad, they know his main concern "if you don't poop you die." So he is on blood thinners to stop the bleeding but that has gave him a constant bloody nose, so the hrs he has spent today trying to pee he has been dripping blood, and he really wants to pee si they don't have to do a cath. Summer has been sound asleep since 8 so it will be interesting if she sleeps clear throughout with all the beeping going on

July 4th, 2014. Waiting
It has been a long day at the hospital, he got moved out of ICU and into a room around 4 and at 6 they took him back to have surgery on his face. It is now 1 am and he just got out of surgery and is in recovery. We found out that the bones in his forehead crushed his sinus beyond repair, so they took it out, took a skin graft from his abdemon and put it in his forehead. The bones in his left cheek were so broke up that they are worried about it holding together, It is a little creepy romping the halls in the middle of the night with no one anywhere, and to top the creepiness off T played the song from The Stand as we walked the empty halls. I am wondering why it is taking so long for him to come out of recovery, I hope everything is ok.....
So got out at 2 am he was so out of it, he kept putting his arms in the air like he was flying, and all he would say is "weird, boy that's weird". He slept it off until 5 and by then he was in a lot of pain, and it took a long time for them to get his bush button set back up. It is 5 pm and he was just able to eat for the 1st time, he can only eat soft foods for 6 weeks. His wrist is really hurting him, and they are hoping to do surgery on Monday to repair it. Other then that he is on the mend, we hope. By the way Summer has been such a troopers, she has been her the whole time, just happy.

July 3rd, 2014 Dad Aliced it BIG TIME
Sooo.... Dad was out working on his garage, up on a 14 ft ladder, cutting a piece of wood with a electric saw. He did not even feel the ladder tip at all until he was falling, and then he tried grabbing the beam, but missed. He couldn't reach in his pocket because his wrist was bent wrong and couldn't see from all the blood but managed to get himself inside the house for help. As soon as Carolyn saw him they rushed him to Jordan Valley, and as soon as they saw him they rushed him to The U of U. After they assessed him they realized, He for sure has a sever broken wrist, broken eye socket and nose, broken rib, and has fractured a section of his spine, his liver is tore and he has ruptured his adrenal gland. he is going into surgery today for the facial issue.

June 28th, 2014 Taylorsville Dayz
Love, love, love T ville Dayz, this year we moved closer to the fireworks, it felt like they were falling right on us. Summer did great all day, being past around, and ever with the fireworks, she just laid with me and watched them.
June 28th, 2014 Annual Daniels Reunion (FOLLOWING THE SHADE)
This is always my favorite day of the year, first we have the Daniels Reunion, which I can't get enough of... I wish we got together more, not to mention this year being so much extra special. For some of the family it was the first time they had gotten to met Summer ( so much fun getting to show her off). I did have one little moment where i completely lost it. There was a snake and Chris let the kids hold it ( a long ways away from me) but when they came back, I couldn't hold back my fear any longer, I felt like the snake was on every ones hand, and they were going to get it on me and Summer ( I know, it is so stupped, if I could control it I would) I could not hold back the tears, it was soooo embarrassing. Other then that it was great, just like old times sitting in a circle, following the shade.
